THE OPERATIONAL TASK GROUP

 

 

Tang Chee Wei, 37, the oldest and also the wittiest in the team, has a great wealth of experience in endurance races having been the Team Manager for Team LMS in the Sepang 1000KM 2011. Also known as the most valuable team member with comprehensive knowledge of the Dos & Don’ts of the different races, Chee Wei’s contribution to the team will be able to cover all the regulatory aspects of the various endurance races that Team LMS is slated to compete in.

 

Niki Tham, 33, is the director of the team, not because he is the man behind Lifestyle Motorsports Pte Ltd. As a past contestant of various races from sprints to endurance races, Niki leads the direction of the team and strategically plans for each practice and races for the team. He is the one that industry players would seek to collaborate with in motorsports events within Singapore & Malaysia. His plans, is for the team to be the first step for Singapore in gaining worldwide recognition in motorsports.

 

Shawn Ang, 25, the recent addition to the team. Meeting the expectations of the big boys is never easy, but Shawn’s constant in his driving and his impressive knowledge of the mechanism behind a race car makes him a valuable addition to the team. Though new to endurance races, Shawn has raced competitively at the Sepang International Circuit. Apart from racing, his honest opinions of the vast products he had used, had also gained him the trust of many like-minded friends.

 

Rueben Wong, 36, the owner of Tedco Sport needs no introduction. Being thrown with the task of engineering the "Weapon of choice" in Jan 2015, he was more then delighted to take charge to make sure the car is ready to be competitive in MCS 2015. His overwhelming knowledge of car setting has drawn lots of attention by THE CAPTAIN.

 

Mark Darwin, 24, Born and bread in the city of K.L, Darwin began racing from the tender age of 17 in the drag battle scene and won the title Sepang Drag Battle Overall Champion in 2008. Three years later, he took a bold step to join circuit racing and was selected as a Red Bull Rookie in the Red Bull Driver Search Programme. Consequently, the year after, he was appointed as the mentor to the all male Red Bull Rookie Team and as the ambassador for the brand. Darwin also competed and won in several major races that include the Sepang 1000KM Endurance Race and Malaysia Super Series in the touring car category.
